About Louise
Louise is a native of Seattle and grew up on Vashon Island. She has an undergraduate degree in English literature from the University of Washington, graduate degrees in Christian Education, Theology, and Missiology, along with a certificate in Spiritual Formation. She has served as a teacher, Christian Education Director, Associate Pastor and for many years as Associate Director of a Presbyterian ministry to international students at the University of Washington.
In fulfillment of a requirement for the Spiritual Formation Certificate, Louise wrote a paper on "The Trinity in Art," for which she chose eight masterpieces. Writing about these art pieces was a rich devotional experience that she desired others to experience as well. Thus the seed for "Praying with the Arts" was planted.
